We were honoured to be asked to create good luck cards for our Olympic Swimming team.
The children did a super job and the cards were brilliant! Here are just a few examples.
Good Luck to all the athletes taking part in this year's Olympic Games, from everyone at Ambergate Primary School.
While some of our children were on residential, we had a fun packed few days.
On Wednesday, we worked together to make an amazing display thinking about the use of plastic.
On Thursday, we went to the woods to explore. The children made dens, created art, used the ropes, made fire, played in the stream, walked a long way and so much more!
On Friday, our sports coaches brought archery and lazer tag to the cricket pitch. We also played football, golf ball and had lots of fun.
Thank you to all who made these days possible!
The children had an amazing time on residential last week at Walesby Forest. A huge thank you to everyone who made it possible!
We had a lovely visit from Emma's Whippy today. Everyone in school enjoyed their ice cream!
Here are some photographs of Class 1 enjoying theirs.
The Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership (DDMP) are very pleased to let you know that we will be running our Singing Summer Schools again this summer, after a very difficult year for us all.
Children come along for 3 days of singing and musical fun, with like-minded children and learn songs from around the world.
We have two venues at the end of July - Kilburn and Swadlincote, and a further three at the end of August - Chesterfield, Derby and Matlock Bath.
The e-flyer is attached, but the weblink is:

Ambergate Primary School has taken part in the national art competition from Royal Mail to honour the heroes of the coronavirus pandemic.
The children were asked to think of the heroes who have continued to work tirelessly to keep the country moving during the pandemic - and to keep us all safe.
We are really proud of all the children. They have produced wonderful designs. There is a selection of the designs in the photos.
To start our Arts focused topic this term, the children have created this lovely display. Every child and member of staff has drawn around their own hand and decorated it in the colour assigned to their year group, showing both individuality and community, by creating this together. It brings a smile to my face every time I step out the office.
The Department for Education has partnered with Clinical Psychologist, Dr Elizabeth Kilbey to provide practical tips for parents to support remote learning.
