Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
The election process had to be slightly different this year due to the current circumstances. In order to involve the whole school, our Year 6 candidates who wanted to take on the key roles of Chair and Secretary, presented their speeches through Microsoft Teams. The rest of the school then voted anonymously for their chosen candidate.
Our class council representatives were voted for by their class. They also did a speech about why they thought they were right for the post.
Congratulations to:
Year 2 -Daisy M and Archer
Year 3- Daisy S and William
Year 4 -Rupert and Amelie
Year 5-Jack and Amelie
We had a fabulous morning with Adam from Jump Rope Uk on Tuesday. Each class had their own session learning lots of skipping tricks. It was great fun!

Please follow the link to read a letter from Public Health England which explains when a child requires a coronavirus (COVID-19) test and what the symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are.
The intention of the letter is to support parents and carers in identifying when their child needs to self-isolate as a result of displaying coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms and answer some of the questions parents may have around testing.

Message from the County Council
Home to school transport
The county council is looking at what can be realistically done to get students to and from school. To help plan for the September return the council need every parent and carer to complete a short survey. The survey asks about how your children got from home to school before the coronavirus pandemic, and how you think they will get to school in September. It also asks how your children could be encouraged to walk, cycle or scoot to school.
Please visit the council’s website and fill in the survey. The survey closes on 31 July.

We will be in touch with all parents and carers on what the transport arrangements will be for the new school year later in the summer.
To celebrate RSE Day, Read On Nottingham, together with Nottingham City Libraries, has created special book lists featuring books we love about love! These have been shared through the National Literacy Trust website.
https://literacytrust.org.uk/communities/nottingham/celebrate-rse-day-2020-read-nottingham/
The National Literacy Trust say: "We have selected inspiring stories, novels and non-fiction books, which are suitable for children and young people from Early Years to young adult. As a parent, carer or teacher you can read some of the stories to your children or with them, chatting about the themes of love, trust, respect, resilience, co-operation and communication.
We hope you enjoy reading these thought provoking books which will develop love, kindness, understanding and empathy in children, young people and adults alike."
